With the right training, you can work a wide range of “back-of-the-house” kitchen roles, including prep cook, deli and salad bar cook, grill and line cook, and advanced skills cook. Those with no experience will start with dishwashing and quickly work their way up to these other positions. (That’s how all the great chefs start!)

Pay starts at $15- to $16/hour for dishwashing, which is the most junior position, and increases to as much as $20/hour for advanced skills cook.

Snapchef has offices in Boston, Worcester, Providence, and Springfield. The closest Snapchef office to you will be a “hub” for training and support, but your actual work will be off-site at the nearby companies you choose to work for.

A lot! You tell us what days you DONT want to work and we will only schedule you on the days you do! Prefer mornings? You got it (to the best of our ability)! Prefer Monday’s off? You got it! We will work around your needs.

Absolutely not! We’ll teach you everything you need to know. That said, if you have prior foodservice experience, you’ll move up faster and work in roles that offer better pay (up to $20/hour).

Our online training program requires 20 hours taken at your own pace. Our in person training is 4 days & consists of both study material and realtime cooking. It’s completely free to our Snapfam!  All training is held at the closest Snapchef office to you
